The Opportunity:
As the Payroll Accountant - you will have the opportunity to:
Be responsible for the processing of payrolls for large domestic entities with bi-weekly and weekly pay cycles in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with FLSA guidelines and basic payroll principles.
Ensure that Black & Veatch complies with all payroll procedures and tax mandated requirements.
Include quarterly and annual reports/audits of payroll tax.
Provide resolution of basic issues.
Serve as technical advisor to professionals and management related to payroll issues and programs.

Payroll and post-payroll processing, including but not limited to:
-Weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
-Reconciling deduction withholdings.
-Accurate tax data & payments.
-Auditing journal entries Liaison with ETS coordinators for adjustments, as needed.
-Quarterly & annual reporting.
Knowledge of compliance principles Assists with program changes in payroll system.
Answers general inquiries about payroll.
Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvement.
Responsible for protecting and maintaining private personnel records.
Management ResponsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of Fringe Benefits and Burdens
Experience in Payroll processing.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Data Entry Microsoft Excel Intermediate Preferred
Non-Technical Skills:
Self-starter Organizing Planning Written and verbal Communications Informing Peer Relationships Problem Solving Dealing with AmbiguityMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
Typically 2
years related experience.
