Position Overview:

The Senior Pricing Analyst, Travel Retail will review and manage internal and external data and leverage optimization tools to make informed pricing recommendations.

This individual will work closely with the Pricing Manager and Regional Finance Director to confirm pricing strategies and determine optimal prices in order to achieve strategic objectives. Serve as the liaison between regional teams and third party provider (TPP)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work with the Pricing Manager in the key strategic pricing analysis and presentations for General Manager and Brand Directors, including market price comparison, exchange rate effects, and affiliate market price increases.

  • Timely distribute all brands seasonal price list to all our retailers.

  • Timely update pricing conditions in the Travel Retail price console (TR savings, margins, exchange rates, pricelists assignment)

  • Serve as the primary contact between Marketing teams and third party provider (TPP) to ensure alignment in product catalogs, pricing strategies and final Suggested Travel Retail Price (STRP).

  • Responsible to develop mitigation controls to guarantee timely and accurate preparation of price lists by the TPP Genpact. Support all TR AM retailers with STRP questions.

  • Calculate STRP for Travel Retail Exclusive (TREX) skus. Communicate STRP to TPP to ensure timely implementation in all markets.

  • Responsible for the development of COG s and gross profit margin analysis.

  • Partner with the regional pricing manager in reviewing and checking that there is data integrity in all pricing reporting tools. Make appropriate changes and recommendations as necessary.

  • Lead the integration of new brands into our pricing process and execute price lists until these are incorporated into SAP. (Becca, Too Faced, Le Labo).

  • Support Regional Leadership Team to identify key pricing initiatives needed to improve planning and processes. Particularly serve as liaise with the Dufry pricing team.

  • Develop reporting capabilities incorporating SAP/BI, and help identify & incorporate new sources of data (internal & external).

  • Maintain the TR AM Regional Pricing Dashboard.

  • Lead the preparation of pricing corridor analysis including shelf prices.

Ex. Brazilian, Chinese, Mexican.

  • Responsible for local market pricing analysis. Be abreast of competitive pricing in those markets. This is particularly important for our global retailers but especially important for our number one retailer Dufry.

  • Prepare any ad-hoc discrete studies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree required. MBA in Marketing/Finance desirable

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, & presentation skills ability to present ideas & concepts to Senior Management & get buy-in

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically/conceptually;

  • Ability to automate reports & procedures, streamlining processes to create efficiencies

  • Must have excellent computer skills, SAP & BI knowledge preferable

  • Familiarity with international & global concepts (VAT, FX, etc.) preferable

  • Must be familiar with marketing concepts & product positioning, preferably in prestige consumer goods industry

  • Collaborative demeanor, but with ability to challenge more senior/tenured parties

  • Detailed and deadline oriented with ability to manage multiple moving parts, following up with key stakeholders regularly to ensure all parties are kept on track and properly informed
